  • Absolutely Brilliant!

    From Richie525
A splendid collection of David Bowie songs with a Brazilian vibe. Beautiful when sung in Portuguese with a lone acoustic guitar!
  • Late to the game

    From MikeSandidge
Great movie with great sounds throughout. Afterwards, I found myself singing the Bowie tunes in Portuguese. On a whim, searched iTunes and now they're mine. All mine.
  • I like the sound it makes in my ears. Emoji emoji

  • The World Works in Mysterious Ways

    From RachelInRio
I started to buy this album back when I saw The Life Aquatic. Make that I had the movie running in the background while I was cleaning. I could never actually bring myself to get into it, but I heard the music. I am a big Bowie fan, and I loved the unplugged versions of his music, but there was a problem the songs were in some other language. Short story, I wasn't really in an international mode, and on a budget, so I didn't download the album. Fast forward like 6 years, I am on a year long assignment in Rio De Janeiro and needing to learn Portuguese! A Co-worker recommended that I check out the music by a local artist - Seu Jorge. I didn't make the connection until I logged onto iTunes and saw the album. I could kick myself for not buying this earlier, not only is this album AWESOME, its totally something that is going to help me learn Portuguese. The translations are not the same, so don't think your saying the same thing as the original songs, but the words are beautifully written and the guitar is nothing short of inspirational. All over, a poetic piece of art here. If you think you want this album you do, just buy it. I am not even done listening to the whole thing, and I love it! As for the movie, I guess I should go back a watch it someday if nothing else I can watch Seu Jorge play the music.
  • What a great idea.

    From ryan08
Some albums born from film deserve a sequel, and this certainly qualifies. A fresh take on Bowie's catalog that makes you appreciate both artists even more.
  • this is awsome

    From zaksak
Its Portuguese idiot and this man has more talent then you ever will, so before you write a review about someone's music you might want to have at least the slightest idea what you are talking about. Great playing in this album, great music.
  • Relaxing

    From Jack2001
This cd is just so beautiful. One Relaxing song after another. Even if your not a fan of David Bowie you should check out this cd. Seu Jorge's smooth guitar playing mixed with his deep soothing voice makes one great cd. I love to hear these songs anytime. The songs make me feel very peaceful. I dont even speak Portuguese or understand it but, it just sounds good. Bottom line its a wonderful cd anyone who likes relaxing music should check this out. Also the movie was awesome it was Wes Anderson at his best.
  • Unbelievably Good
